The ‘SLIM’ platform lift for hospitals is very well suited where space is limited, as there is no motor drive on board the lift itself. It can be folded neatly away when not in use. The platform lift is simple and discreet and very quiet in operation, which is why it befits a hospital environment.
The ‘SLIM’ platform lift offers substantial advantages over other platform lifts because it really is quiet and its gliding motion makes it an extremely comfortable ride. Its drive system and technical and construction features make it one of the most compact platform stair lifts on the market. Special priority has also been given to safety features and there are a series of devices which ensure it stops if the platform should accidentally encounter an obstacle in its path. The IBS (independent barrier arms system) ensures complete safety when leaving the platform lift as it guarantees that the non exit bar remains closed.
The SLIM platform lift’s exceptional reliability and versatility makes it the perfect solution for special installations, such as varied gradients and curves and corners without compromising comfort.

The platform lift requirement for Henley College was for a wheelchair platform lift which could cope with changes of gradient and that would not be in the way when not in use.
The SLIM platform lift is an inclined platform lift for staircases with curves or varying gradients and because it has no traction unit on board, the space occupied by the platform is minimal making it an ideal platform lift for college corridors. Each platform lift is built with a top class range of safety features, for example, the SLIM has a variety of devices which ensure it stops if the platform should accidentally encounter an obstacle in its path. The inclined platform lift staircase – SLIM was the solution. Able to negotiate the twists and gradient, the “Slim” is also discreet and quiet in operation.
